Jangwoo was awoken by the noisy clock by his bed. Looking at the time with his half open tired eyes, it was time for him to get up. YooJin had asked him out for a lunch date today and he casually agreed. After taking showers and changing into a white tee and dark blue jeans, he got into his car to fetch her from her house.

YooJin open the door, and to her surprised she saw Jangwoo standing in front of the door with a smile. ‘J-Jang Woo-ssi, y-you are early,’

‘Because…this is our first date.’ Jangwoo said shyly while brushing the back of his neck.

Yoo Jin burst out a smile seeing his shy side. ‘You wanna come in first? I will be ready in a minute.’ She swings the door open to let him in and walks back into her room.

Jangwoo took off his shoes and entered her apartment. A pleasant view greeted him: a neat living room with luxurious design and decoration. Hmm…she sure appreciates art. As he walks in further, he notices branded home appliances and expensive decorations around the kitchen and hallway.

Minutes later, Yoo Jin appeared from a room supposedly her bedroom in a lacy white top and a yellow knee length skirt; a scene that amuse him more than the apartment.

‘Ah, sorry to keep you waiting. I am ready to leave.’ Yoo Jin said with a smile spread across her face. Then she noticed Jang Woo’s eyes fixed on her.

‘Why? Is there anything wrong with my outfit?’

‘N-Nothing. Let’s go.’ Jang Woo replied.

‘So what do you want to eat? This restaurant is famous for its steak.’ Jangwoo flipped through the menu. This is the first time ever he brought another girl in other than EunJung.

‘Hmm..there is so much to choose from. Everything seems delicious. Why don’t you recommend something for me?’

‘Really? Why don’t you try this? Last time I ate with Eun—.’ Jangwoo paused literally when he accidentally mention EunJung’s name. Even though he is a guy, he knew it was a big no no to mention other woman’s name in front of another. Trying to salvage the awkward situation, he continues, ‘I-I meant I ate with my Eun…Hye-noona.’

‘Noona? I thought you are the only child? You have a sister?’

‘Oh Eunhye-noona? She-she is a close cousin of mine.’ Phew..the truth almost spill out. Jangwoo ‘praised’ himself for acting smart.

‘So are you ready to order?’ He quickly pulled her attention away. Jang Woo signaled the waiter to take down their orders.

‘You enjoy musical?’ Jangwoo asked while waiting for their food. ‘Yea, I love musical. Especially those with—‘ Suddenly their conversation was interrupted by his ringing phone.

Jangwoo got a little surprised when he saw the caller ID. ‘Sorry I’ve got a phone call from my mum. Excuse me for a moment.’ Jangwoo walks out of the restaurant lying through his teeth.

The moment the phone gets through, EunJung frantically shouts over the phone, ‘Jangwoo-ah, can you come to my office now? Something cropped up. I will be waiting down at the lobby. Bye.’

Without even a chance to say hello, Jangwoo was left there standing with the hang up tone on the phone. What is this Ham Eun Jung up to? I have YooJin-ssi here with me, what should I do now?

Jangwoo walks back into restaurant thinking for a proper excuse. ‘So your mum was looking for you? Was it important?’ YooJin asked with concern.

‘Yea my mum said she needed me urgently. I am terribly sorry. I think I have to end our date for now. I promise you we will have another proper date. I owe you one.’ Jangwoo said with guilty stricken face.

‘Really? I will ask you out another day. No worries. Your mum is more important. You better get going. Don’t let your mum wait for too long.’ YooJin said with a smile.

‘I can’t send you back either. Do you want me to call a cab for you?’ Jangwoo checked his watch. I must hurry to EunJung’s office as soon as possible.

‘No it’s okay. I can manage on my own. You better leave now.’ YooJin reassures him.

From afar as he was making a turn into her office building, Jang Woo spots EunJung holding stacks of documents and files in both arms looking flustered. She was waving her arms frantically when he slows down in front of her. Before he even makes a full brake to his car, she already gets into the car dangerously.

‘Yah! Do you want to die? Why are you rushing so much?’ He chided EunJung with stern look.

‘Yah, save your scolding for later.  Now just drive to Seoul Hotel.’ EunJung talks back while buckling up her seatbelt.

Jangwoo became speechless after hearing her reply. ‘You will get it from me later.’ He said his piece and speeds off.

During the ride, Jangwoo continues peeking at EunJung; who kept scanning through her files only. As he couldn’t hide the curiosity anymore, Jangwoo shoot his questions, ‘Tell me, why we are going there? Who are we meeting? Why did you call me to be your chauffeur?’

‘I have to send this document to my client who happens to stay in that hotel by 2pm. Look, now it’s already 1.45pm.’ She said with her eyes still glued to the documents.

‘B-But why call me? You know I was about to have lunch with—‘

‘I couldn’t find my car key.’ EunJung flashed out a victorious smile.

Instead of complaining EunJung for calling him out, he said while keeping his eyes on the road, ‘That’s why I told you to keep a spare key in another place. What if something even worse happen? Did you even take my words seriously? You and your muddle head. Tsk..tsk.. tsk’

EunJung retorted confidently, ‘I wanted to make one soon but I-I forgot about it…But since I have you what is there to be afraid of? Isn’t it right my Jangoonim?’

Once again, he was speechless. Whenever he faces EunJung, he just couldn’t bring himself to oppose or reject anything she asks. After knowing he was ‘used’, he kept quiet throughout the journey until they have reached the hotel.

After a while, EunJung came out from the hotel lobby with light hearted feelings. Ah finally everything is settled. She got into the car and buckles her seatbelt happily.

‘So everything is settled. Ham BaekGu-ssi, where do you want to go next?’ Jangwoo pops the question like a slave.

‘Hmm…let’s go for lunch! I’m famished. I didn’t get to eat anything since morning. You decide. My treat.’ She flashes her smile.

‘Am I hearing it correctly? You are treating me lunch after crashing into my lunch date? What an irony.’ Jangwoo questioned her sarcastically.

She nodded vigilantly with a hearty yet cunning laugh. ‘Yes, I treat but you will pay.’

Jangwoo shook his head in amazement, seeing how this woman behaves so daringly; irritably   annoying and yet so attractive.
